Asia is the world’s largest market for microgrids and that’s one of the reasons HOMER CEO Dr. Peter Lilienthal has headed to the Philippines and Singapore this month for several large international conferences. Following a Hawaiian conference on Isolated Power Systems, Dr. Lilienthal will be heading to the Philippines to conduct multiple HOMER training sessions and participate as a guest speaker at several meetings.
First he will visit Manila where he will meet with solar and microgrid developers – including Solar Philippines, the largest solar developer in that country – as well as government and utility representatives. On October 24-26 he is attending the 1st Philippines International Microgrid Exhibition and Conference (PIMEC 2018), which is co-located with the Sustainable Energy Ecosystems International Conference (SEECON) in Cebu City, in the Philippines. He will be conducting several training sessions there on the HOMER software.
Next, Dr. Peter Lilienthal will be traveling to Singapore to speak at the Asia Clean Energy Summit. On Wednesday, October 31, at 3:15 pm in the Peony Room 4411 in the Special Session on Microgrids, Dr. Lilienthal will address the topic of The Economics of Hybrid Systems and Microgrids in Different Applications.
