Call for Papers: Speak at the 8th International Hybrid Power Plants & Systems Workshop

Join us at the 8th Hybrid Power Plants & Systems Workshop on the Azores from May 14-15, 2024. The venue of the workshop is located in Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel, the archipelago’s largest and most populous island.

One challenge of island grids and micro-grids is to maintain the balance between production and consumption. Diesel generators are still frequently used for this task. Due to the unavoidable dependence on fuel price and delivery options, and the environmental impact, alternatives are being sought. Wind and solar power are independent of imported fuels and environmentally friendly, and therefore the logical choice for island and micro-grids.

The 8th International Hybrid Power Plants & Systems Workshop offers a prime opportunity to discuss the future of hybrid power systems. Participants will look at applications in a variety of locations and operating environments with a focus on system design, operating experience, business models, economics, and implementation issues.

The official call for papers is open now and will be accepting abstracts until January 31st, 2024. Submit your abstract today to become a speaker at this key industry event! Learn more about what kind of topics are preferred and submit yours on the event website.

The papers chosen for presentation at the Hybrid Power Plants & Systems Workshop will be published on the IET Digital Library and IEEE Xplore and submitted for indexing in IET Inspec, Ei Compendex and Scopus.
