“We have identified certain villages in the state where there is a possibility of them being delinked from the main grid after they are provided with renewable power,” said Chief Minister Mukul Sangma at a recent seminar, noting that the systems will utilize mostly solar, wind or biomass energy. He adds, however, that “there are many challenges as we change from a government- run culture to a corporate culture.”
