California has announced the availability of up to $26.5 million for projects that demonstrate the reliable integration of energy efficient demand-side resources, distributed clean energy generation, and smart grid components to enable energy-smart community development. The recently issued Program Opportunity Notice calls for projects that demonstrate low-carbon-based microgrids for critical facilities, high-penetration renewable-based microgrids, as well as advanced smart and bidirectional vehicle charging.
