1. HOMER Energy CEO Peter Lilienthal will be speaking in a poster session on “Understanding the Trade-offs in Hybrid System Design.” Come see us at Booth # 4680 on Tuesday, September 24th, 5-6pm.
2. Dr. Lilienthal will also be doing a joint presentation with Jared Leader from the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) on The Building Blocks for Designing Microgrids with HOMER and SEPA. That will take place in the Smart Energy & Microgrid Theater: Booth 5837, Thursday, September 26th from 11am-11:30am.

Solar Power International, Energy Storage International, and North America Smart Energy Week is powered by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). It’s anchor event, SPI held its inaugural show in 2004 and was designed to serve and advance the solar energy industry by bringing together the people, products, and professional development opportunities that drive the solar industry and are forging its bright future. The show has since evolved to match the growth of the industry, bringing together an extensive alliance of renewable energy leaders to become the largest gathering of solar, smart energy, energy storage, and hydrogen fuel cell professionals in North America. As the anchor of North America Smart Energy Week, the event has diversified to include Energy Storage International (ESI)—the largest storage event in North America, the Smart Energy Microgrid Marketplace, Hydrogen+Fuel Cells International, and The Technical Symposium.
Unlike other industry events, all proceeds from North America Smart Energy Week support the expansion of the energy industry through SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research and education activities, and SEIA’s extensive advocacy efforts. Our primary mission is to deliver on the missions of both SEIA and SEPA in a way that strengthens the industry domestically and globally, through networking and education, and by creating an energetic and engaging marketplace to connect buyers and suppliers.
